Bethany Nickel is a Ph.D. student in music education at Case Western Reserve University, where she serves as a research assistant and teaches woodwind methods. Prior to CWRU, Nickel earned a Masters in Music Education from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of North Texas. Nickel’s teaching experience includes middle and high school band, choir, guitar, and music technology. Her research interests include music literacy, music teacher and principal communication, and international teaching experiences. Nickel is a native of Colorado and an active flute player.
