David J. Rothenberg will give an overview of German music from Albrecht Dürer’s era, with emphasis on compositions pertinent to the objects on display in the exhibition Dürer’s Women at the Cleveland Museum of Art this Saturday at 2 p.m. The presentation will be illustrated by recordings of works by Heinrich Isaac (ca. 1450–1517), Ludwig Senfl (ca. 1486–1542/3), and Johann Walter (1496–1570), among others.
The event is free and will take place in the exhibit.
