The music education program at
Case Western Reserve University is one of the most
well respected in the nation. Undergraduate music
education majors pursue a fully accredited curriculum
which develops musical knowledge and skills, immersing students in
practical experience throughout the four-year program that leads to
teaching licensure.
Opportunities for graduate study include the Master
of Arts (with thesis or comprehensive exam options)
for students with an undergraduate degree in music
education, the Master of Arts with Licensure for students with an
undergraduate degree in music who are seeking a teaching license in
conjunction with graduate study, and the Ph. D. in Music Education
for students seeking leadership positions in colleges, universities,
and K-12 schools.
