Dr. Lisa Hanson is a choral conductor, vocal clinician, and music educator, who retired as choral director of Lakewood High School in 2012. She received her Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) from Wittenberg University, her Masters in Music (choral conducting) from Cleveland State University, and her Doctor of Music Arts (D.M.A) in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).
Active in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), Dr. Hanson served as District 4 president, and later as a member the OMEA Board of Trustees as editor of TRIAD. She has been an adjudicator for OMEA Adjudicated Events and clinician in both Lorain and Cuyahoga counties. In 2012, she was named OMEA Music Educator of the Year.
Dr. Hanson is presently a lecturer and director of University Singers at Case Western Reserve University.
