Orchestra Audition Requirements
General requirements for all Case students (non-music majors), faculty, staff and community players:
- 2 Octave Major Scale
- 2 Octave Melodic Minor Scale
- Etude(s) or Orchestral Except(s) that show your technical and musical abilities (not to exceed 5 minutes)
Expanded Requirements for Music Majors by Instrument:
- 3 Octave Major Scale (2 octaves for cello and bass)
- 3 Octave Melodic Minor Scale (2 octaves for cello and bass)
- Etude (not to exceed 5 minutes)
- Solo (Concerto, Sonata, or other representative Solo Work, not to exceed 7 minutes)
