The CIM/Case University Circle Wind Ensemble combines the woodwind, brass and percussion majors from the Cleveland Institute of Music along with advanced players from Case Western Reserve University to perform the most significant literature written for this medium. Repertoire performed includes personnel requirements which range from as few as eight players to as many as sixty-five, stressing one player to a part. Under the direction of Dr. Gary Ciepluch, the University Circle Wind Ensemble has performed with numerous guest soloists including Nexus and The Cleveland Duo, has recorded for National Public Radio, and can be frequently heard on Cleveland's Classical Radio Station, WCLV. It has performed for numerous state and national conferences, and has recently recorded a CD devoted to the music of Cleveland composer Donald Erb.
