University Singers is a non-auditioned mixed-voice ensemble open to any undergraduate or graduate student, faculty, or staff member in the University who enjoys singing. Under the musical direction of Dr. Lisa Hanson, the ensemble performs a wide variety of accompanied and a cappella repertoire. University Singers welcomes the opportunity to bring members of our University Circle community together to make music!
The ability to read music is not required for participation and no audition is necessary. Members should be able to match pitch and can expect to vocalize for the conductor to determine their appropriate voice parts. Goals of the University Singers include developing basic musicianship skills, learning healthy vocal techniques, and sharing music with fellow singers and the community.
Student members may choose to participate in University Singers for 0 or 1 credit (MUEN 387). For additional information contact Dr. Lisa Hanson (firstname.lastname@example.org), You may also contact Dr. Matthew Garrett, Director of Choirs (email@example.com or 216-368-2496). Join us for our first rehearsal on January 14, 2014, or any rehearsal through our membership drive (ends Thursday, January 23, 2014)!
