University Chorale

University Chorale is a non-auditioned treble-voice ensemble open to any undergraduate or graduate student, faculty, or staff member in the University who enjoys singing. The ensemble will perform a wide variety of accompanied and a cappella repertoire written specifically for treble voices. Examples of treble voices include, but are not limited to: sopranos, mezzo-sopranos, altos, contraltos, and counter-tenors. For additional information about gender-inclusive treble voices eligible for this ensemble, contact Dr. Michael Peters ( or 216-368-2411).

The ability to read music is not required for participation and there is no formal audition. The conductor will lead members in exercises to ensure everyone is singing an appropriate voice part. Goals of the University Chorale include developing basic musicianship skills, learning healthy singing habits, and enjoying sharing music with fellow singers and the community.

Student members may choose to participate in University Chorale for 0 or 1 credit (MUEN 388a or MUEN 388b, respectively).
