The CWRU Spartan Marching Band is a spirited ensemble of wind and percussion musicians. The Band performs at all home football games during the fall.
The group rehearses Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and before home games on Saturdays. Even though rehearsal time is limited, the band has been successful in producing lively, entertaining and musical marching performances while serving as a catalyst for school spirit. The emphasis is on having fun within the context of a traditional marching band format.
The marching band is an official class offered at Case Western Reserve University. Participation in the band can fulfill the physical education requirement. This group offers the opportunity for meeting new friends and an artistic release from the rigors of studying.

The Spartan Marching Band holds a few brief pre-season training sessions in order to prepare for the upcoming season and ensure we are able to execute an entertaining and high-quality show during the first football game. Attendance at these sessions is critical to ensure a smooth start to the season as our first performance occurs on September 19th. Please review the 2015 pre-season training schedule HERE and mark your calendars now to avoid conflicts. Every effort has been made to avoid conflicts with other orientation sessions.
