The CWRU Spartan Marching Band is a spirited ensemble of wind and percussion musicians. The Band performs at home football games during the fall semester.
The group rehearses Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and before home games on Saturdays. Even though rehearsal time is limited, the band has been successful in producing lively, entertaining and musical marching performances while serving as a catalyst for school spirit. The emphasis is on having fun within the context of a traditional marching band format.
The marching band is an official class offered at Case Western Reserve University. Participation in the band can fulfill the physical education requirement. This group offers the opportunity for meeting new friends and an artistic release from the rigors of studying.
