CWRU Students Perform at Ohio Private College Instrumental Conductor’s Association

First row: Devin Reddy, Jon O’Brien, Rohith Padamaraj, Second row: Bianca Pierson, Jared May, Ryan Buechele

At the end of last Fall, five CWRU music majors (and one non-major) were selected to perform with the Ohio Private College Instrumental Conductor’s Association honors intercollegiate ensemble. Fourteen schools sent representatives to the ensemble representing some of the top players at private institutions across this state. Jon O’Brien, Ryan Buechele, Jared May, Rohith Padamaraj, Bianca Pierson and Devin Reddy were the CWRU representatives.

This was also the 30th anniversary of OPCICA and the students performed a world premier of a commissioned work by Barry Kopetz to celebrate this very event. OPCICA will be held at Capital University next year and Ashland the year after. Congratulations students!
